Hi everyone. I wanted to finally get around to updating the site to let you all know that the GC has parted ways. We have no immediate plans to start performing again in the future. Thanks so much for all your support. We are sincerely so thrilled by every one of you who put a copy of the Servant into their stereos and took the time to have a listen.
While the band won’t be performing any time soon, I’ve decided to keep the site going for the time being to show off some cool photos we took with our friend Liam, as well as to make our second album available to those who are interested. “Golden Age” was never released when we finished it because we were in the middle of breaking up. For awhile we weren’t even sure if we liked it anymore. Well, anyway it sure is a departure from the Servant. Have a listen and if you like it maybe you can go download the tracks from any one of the wonderful digital music sites that you can link to from the Music page.
Also, if you like some of the Johnston tunes on Golden Age, you can check out Andrew’s new project Andrew vs The Enabler by following the links page. Andrew is also playing guitar with JF Robitaille these days.
So…..thanks so much to all the bands and promoters who asked to do shows, friends, fans, managers, publicists, graphic designers…. It was always a great thrill for us to leave the studio and “get out there.” May Turcott, Jori Baldwin, Al Isler, Evan Newman, Keenan Popwell, Blue Skies Turn Black, Mandatory Moustache, Izzy Hayes, Val Eaton, Poorfolk, Trailer, JP Houston, JF Robitaille, Paul Edwards, Steve Smith, Casa, Le Swimming (RIP), The National, Villa Borghese, LOCAL Distribution, FACTOR, Jeunes Volontaires, Jace and Dave at Breakglass, Flotilla, Brendan Murphy, Lorraine Carpenter, Nightlife Magazine etc. etc.
